2009-2010 SEASON

We are on the Countdown - 3 weeks to go! All Clubs are busily preparing for the commencement of the 09/10 Patrolling Season.

LIFESAVING:

Attention all Club Captains, Support Services, Duty Officers and District Supervisors this seasons Lifesaving Conference will be held on the 23rd September 2009 commencing at 6pm. 

Please RSVP to Roz at the Branch Office.

Clubs are reminded that if they participate in any event outside of Surf Lifesaving, Water safety, people power etc you must lodge a Special Event Form to cover your members with Insurance. These can be downloaded from our website click here These forms have been updated so please read carefully.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION:

Applications are now being called for a position on the Community Education Team. Applicants must hold their Bronze Medallion and be able to work mornings. For more information and application form please click here

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT:

Attention all Junior Coordinators and Age Managers: 

There will be 2 Age Managers Training Courses being conducted within the Branch. The Course will include, a session on the Junior Resource Kit,  practical beach and water sessions and a brief discussion on Officials. Courses will be held at Swansea Belmont for Catherine Hill Bay, Caves Beach, Swansea Belmont, Redhead, Cooks Hill, Dixon Park and Merewether on the 20th September 2009 and at Stockton for TGHN, Fingal, Birubi, Stockton, Nobbys, Newcastle, on the 27th September 2009. Please register your name with Kate Preston at the Branch Office ASAP

ROOKIE CAMP:

SENIOR FIRST AID: 

Senior First Aid Courses are being held at Redhead SLSC conducted  by Scott & Sheree Young - Phone contact 0422 734 834 

If your Club has sufficient numbers to complete a Senior First Aid Course/Refresher this can be arranged to be done at your Club.

SLS NSW Training & Education Officer - Linda Miles will conduct a Senior First Aid course on Friday 18th September 09 commencing at 9am to be conducted at the Hunter Branch Office, Tighes Hill.

SURF SPORTS:

SURF BOAT SEMINAR

Date:              29^th September 2009

Time:               6pm for approx 1.5 hrs

Location:       Hunter Branch Office 1/6 Revelation Close, Tighes Hill

Attendees:           Surf Boat sweeps, Surfboat coaches, Club Surf Sports Managers/Directors and Surf Boat rowers.

It is highly recommended that every Club have representation at this important meeting.

Caves Beach Surf Life Saving Club.

Cost:       $16 per head (includes)

2 course meal

Time:      Doors and bar open at 10am

                                Luncheon commences at 12 noon

Refreshments will be at Surf Club prices.
